Why don’t you end your prayers, “In Jesus Name”?

My church teaches me my morals & ethics, but when it comes to choosing a political candidate my church goes silent. All other churches are getting safely involved by teaching the constitution and how it relates to Christianity. Why can’t or won’t we?

  • The job of the church is not to __________ morals or politics; it is to _________ you to Christ and to __________ you to serve him. When you allow God to be in control of your life, He will teach you through His word.

Matthew 7:1 says “Judge not, least ye be judged.” How does this apply in our lives?

Please point out how hypocritical people shouldn’t judge harshly because they in turn will be judged harshly.

  • “In the way you judge, you will be judged” so get rid of the log in your eye before the speck in someone else’s: Matt. 7:1-6, Rom. 2:1-2, 14:4
  • Judgment, ____________ and accountability are not the same: Matt. 18:15-20, James 5:19-20

    • Judging is passing sentence or ____________ a penalty (generally refers to eternity).
    • Discipline is a proper authority applying a reprimand to bring restored ______________.

Are tattoos and piercings (body art) sinful in the New Testament?
